Our Previous Issue - Spring 2008

As I’m putting this spring issue of the Skyline together, I look out the window to see the ground covered with 6 inches of snow – pretty, but not very spring-like.  But baseball spring training has started and that’s certainly a step in the right direction.  When you receive this magazine, March will be here, the days will start getting noticeably longer and we’ll soon be able to take out our Classics after their long winter’s nap. – Yea!

This issue has some new writers with topics you’re sure to enjoy.  Bayard Badenhausen, a longtime CCCA member and new Metro member, gives us Chapter 1 of his memoirs about growing up in the Classic Era.  Steve Gluck was inspired to write two articles with intriguing titles.  Marianne Frisch writes about a 1935 Auburn and Jim Cox tells us what he and Bev have decided to do with their rare 1930 Auburn.  Our Metro Christmas Party is covered as well as the CCCA Annual Meeting in Bellevue, WA.  Now that Bob Gluck is no longer director of Metro, he has taken up writing for the Skyline.  He writes about the cover car – a 1938 Delage, a very interesting rust remover and he continues his CARavan series.  And of course Chris Wantuck has more great tech tips and Stuart Blond’s vintage Packard photos are included as well as more 1960’s photos for you to identify.

We hope you enjoy this issue!  Hope to see you soon…

- Grace
